Based on the material, flooring can be divided into the following categories (each category has different subcategories):

🪵 1. Wood Flooring
1. Solid Wood Flooring

Material: A single piece of natural wood (such as oak, beech, maple, teak, etc.)

Features: Natural and environmentally friendly, comfortable to the touch, soundproof and heat-insulating

Disadvantages: Moisture- and heat-sensitive, prone to warping, and expensive

2. Engineered Wood Flooring

Material: Multi-layered solid wood laminate (with a genuine veneer surface)

Features: More stable than solid wood and moisture-resistant

Disadvantages: Cannot be refinished and polished multiple times

3. Laminate Flooring

Material: High-density fiberboard with a melamine wear layer

Features: Wear-resistant, scratch-resistant, cost-effective, and available in a variety of patterns

Disadvantages: Hard feel, not water-resistant, and high formaldehyde emissions

🧱 2. Stone Flooring Flooring
1. Marble Flooring

Features: High-quality texture, luxurious feel, wear-resistant and pressure-resistant

Disadvantages: High price, easy to bleed due to water absorption, high maintenance cost

2. Granite Flooring

Features: High hardness, wear-resistant, and excellent anti-slip properties

Disadvantages: Cooler color, less decorative effect

🧩 3. Ceramic / Porcelain Tile Flooring

Types: Glazed tile, solid tile, antique tile, wood-grain tile, etc.

Features: Waterproof, moisture-proof, easy to clean, and wear-resistant

Disadvantages: Cold and hard feel underfoot, and cracks easily harbor dirt

🪞 4. PVC / SPC / LVT Flooring (Vinyl Flooring Series)
1. PVC Flooring

Features: Waterproof, anti-slip, lightweight, easy to install, and a wide variety of patterns

Disadvantages: Average heat resistance and easy to scratch

2. LVT (Luxury Vinyl Flooring) Tile Flooring

Structure: Multi-layer PVC with realistic wood/stone grain

Features: Good flexibility, comfortable feel, waterproof and moisture-resistant

Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive than regular PVC

3. SPC Flooring (Stone Plastic Composite)

Material: Stone powder + PVC resin

Features: Extremely stable, waterproof, fireproof, insect-resistant, easy to install (lock-and-screw joints)

Disadvantages: Hard feel

🪵 5. Bamboo Flooring

Material: Bamboo processed by high-temperature pressing

Features: Eco-friendly and renewable, refreshing and natural, high hardness

Disadvantages: Moisture-sensitive, prone to mold

🧶 6. Soft Flooring
1. Carpet

Material: Wool, nylon, polyester, polypropylene, etc.

Features: Sound-absorbing, warm, decorative

Disadvantages: Difficult to clean, prone to harboring dust mites, not waterproof

🪨 7. Epoxy/Cement Flooring Flooring

Epoxy flooring: Commonly found in factories and garages, it's dust-resistant, slip-resistant, and wear-resistant.

Self-leveling cement flooring: Commonly used in modern industrial-style interiors, offering a cool, hard texture.
